Aviation Design Centre was set up in January 1997 as a nonprofit organisation by the government of Malaysia to promote the development of the aerospace sector. Under the auspices of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), the company was launched, and SME Industries, under Khazanah Holdings, was tasked with implementing the project while the EPU supervised the policy and setting up of the initial institution.

Our company objectives focusing on key areas:
Carry out R&D services for aircraft modifications, repairs, and upgrades.
Comply all general aviation regulatory, airworthiness, and certification requirements, as set forth by aviation authorities, when carrying out design activities and programmes.
Offer engineering services and training as request by customer
Provide specialized training in specific areas of aircraft through courses, projects, seminars, and other forums to strengthen and enhance workforce development skills.
Facilitate in the technology of transfer (ToT) to beneficiaries in the field of aircraft design technology and its application.
Selectively participate in strategic joint/collaborative aircraft programmes with reputable international aircraft manufacturers for mutual benefit.
